Pioneers

Learn how Pioneer discounts work.

Pioneer pricing is a per-user discount applied to Personal and Shared plans for any users who opt into the Pioneer program. If you opt in, your seat gets billed at the Pioneer rate across Personal and Shared billing instead of the standard rates for those plans.

Opting into the Pioneer program means the following:

• Ember staff may occasionally reach out to you for product feedback and questions about your experience in order to improve our product
• Ember staff may access telemetry and usage patterns to improve our product

Opting into the Pioneer program does NOT mean Ember staff can freely access your memories and related recordings and artifacts.  For that, we would still need you to grant us short-lived access for situations like support/troubleshooting or clearly scoped product improvement projects.

How Pioneer works

• You join Pioneers from your profile settings.
• Your billing is discounted according to the Pioneer rate below.
• You may leave Pioneers at any time from your profile settings, in which case your billing reverts back to normal, non-discounted pricing
• In the case of Shared plans, some users may choose to be on Pioneers, and some not. In that case, the total billing is calculated as (# users on Pioneers) * Pioneer rate + (# users not on Pioneers) * standard rate.
