Settings, admins and your plan

Change the circle profile, choose who helps run it, and manage billing.

Open your circle in the admin dashboard and choose Settings. Only admins can see this page. Each card saves on its own.

Circle profile

Change the circle’s name, photo, description, and Public handle, which is your circle’s public address. The handle can use letters, numbers, and hyphens, and Ember checks that it is available. Photos can be JPG, PNG, WebP, or GIF and save as soon as you choose one.

A circle’s type, Family or Affiliation, is chosen when it is created and cannot be changed.

Admins and permissions

Up to three people can run a circle:

• The Primary admin is the person who created the circle. This seat cannot be reassigned here.
• Choose a Second admin and a Third admin from members who have joined. Invite them first, or invite them with Make them an admin.

Members can invite people is on by default. Turn it off if only admins should send invitations.

Plan and billing

This card shows your plan, when it renews or ends, and who pays for it. Choose Subscribe to start a plan, or Manage billing to change payment details and see invoices. See Plans for what each plan includes.

Family circles also show Storage by member. Affiliation circles show a Storytellers meter.

Archive a circle

Under Danger zone, Archive this circle archives all of its memories, sessions, and recordings. Members lose access straight away. Ember asks you to confirm first. If you archived a circle by mistake, write to us at contact@ember.build.
